Who is responsible

This notice covers the website and initial enquiries. A client engagement may involve separate confidentiality and data processing terms.

When you get in touch

The contact links open your email app. If you email us, we receive your email address, name and whatever you include in your message or attachments. We use this information to respond, discuss potential work and keep relevant business correspondence.

Providing this information is voluntary, but we need a way to reply if you want a response. The website has no contact form, account registration or mailing list.

Website visits and analytics

Vercel hosts this website. To deliver pages and protect the service, it processes technical information such as your IP address, browser information, request details and security logs.

We also use Vercel Web Analytics to understand which pages are useful and how people find the site. It reports page views, referring sites, approximate location, device and browser information, and filtered URL query parameters. It uses a temporary identifier derived from the request, without third-party cookies or tracking you across different websites. Vercel discards the visitor session identifier after 24 hours; this does not mean that all aggregate statistics are deleted after 24 hours.

We have no advertising pixels, session recordings or custom analytics events. See Vercel’s analytics privacy documentation for more detail.

Service providers and sharing

We use Vercel for hosting and analytics, and Apple iCloud Mail for email. These providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Their policies explain their handling of information and international transfers: Vercel’s privacy notice and Apple’s privacy policy.

We do not sell information collected through this website or use it for targeted advertising. We may disclose relevant information where required by law or necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Why we use information

Where data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on our legitimate interests in responding to business enquiries, running and securing the website, and understanding its use. Where appropriate, we also process information to take steps you request before a contract, perform a contract with you, or meet legal obligations.

How long we keep information

We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as it remains relevant to the conversation or business relationship, taking account of any record-keeping obligations and the need to resolve disputes. Hosting logs and analytics are retained according to Vercel’s service settings and policies. Its 24-hour visitor identifier is separate from retained aggregate reports.

Your choices and rights

Depending on the law that applies, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information, restrict its use, or receive a portable copy. Contact will@hendersonadvisory.co to make a request. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

You may also have a right to object to processing based on legitimate interests, including website analytics. Contact us if you wish to object or discuss your options.

You can raise a concern with the privacy regulator in your jurisdiction. If UK data protection law applies, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
